Today, on our 2009 Dodge Ram 1500, we'll be test-fitting the MaxxTow Tow Strap Loop, for 2-inch hitches, rated at 10,000 pounds, part number MT70029. Today on our 2013 Dodge Ram 1500, well be test fitting the MaxxTow Tow Strap Loop for Two Inch Trailer Hitches rated at 10,000 pounds, part number MT70029. Now before I begin our test fit, we will first need to obtain the hitch height of our vehicle. This is the measurement from the ground to the inside top of the receiver tube. The hitch height for this vehicle is about 20 inches. Now this measurement may vary due to tire size, hitch style or any other aftermarket accessories. To begin our test fit, well simply insert the tow strap loop into the receiver end of the hitch, lineup our pinholes and secure it with the pin and clip. The pin and clip is sold separately. This MaxxTow Tow Strap Loop is a heavy-duty hitch mounted shackle, which acts as an attachment point for straps, cables or rope. more
